LinkedIn shows how many people saw a post only to the person who wrote it, so nobody else can count your year for you. LinkedIn does let you download those numbers yourself, and Your LinkedIn year turns that file into a card you can post and an analysis of what works for you.
Getting the file takes a minute: in LinkedIn analytics, choose Past 365 days and press Export. LinkedIn downloads an Excel file named AggregateAnalytics; upload it on the Sources tab.
Your card
- Impressions with a bar for each month, members reached, engagements and their rate, new followers, your best day, your top posts and who reads you.
- You choose the period (a year, recent months, last week or your own dates), the title, the tiles and the colours, and can compare it with the period before.
- Add your profile picture, then download the card as a picture or an animated GIF.
- Celebration is a second card, for your followers: confetti, your picture and your followers counted up.
The analysis
- What it means is a short briefing: what to keep, what to try and what to change, ranked, each with the posts behind it.
- The other tabs show your numbers over time with every post, your best days and hours, each post, the words of your strongest posts, your audience, and two periods side by side.
- Every pattern is tested together with all the others, so one lucky week does not turn into a rule, and it looks one year back at most. A finding shows what went together, not what caused it.
- Paste the posts from your LinkedIn activity page into Sources as well, and the analysis also covers the posts the export leaves out, which posts started conversations, and whether posts with a picture do better.
- The analysis is worked out in your browser, without AI.
Two ways to open it
- In Bamya: Menu > LinkedIn analytics. Your file is kept in your profile, and Sources reminds you when it is more than a week old; Remove saved analytics deletes it.
- Without an account: lin.bamya.co, free and with no registration, in English or Bulgarian. The file is read to draw the card and nothing is kept, and a picture you add never leaves your browser. Share the generator gives you the link to send to others.
